The Advanced Research Training Seminar (ARTS) is a flagship research program organized by the International Association of Applied Psychology, distinguished by its year-long format. Conceived as a capacity-building initiative held every four years in conjunction with the International Congress of Applied Psychology, ARTS has promoted excellence in research training and fostered international collaboration among early career researchers since its first edition in 1992.

The current edition brings together six outstanding international teams composed of early career psychologists and researchers from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds. In this symposium, three teams will present their research projects and key findings. The first presentation, led by Dr. Ramanathan's team, examines the relationships among social identity, pro-environmental action, culture, and social contexts from a cross-national perspective. The second presentation, by Dr. Sadia's team, presents initial findings on risk and protective factors associated with child trauma and behavioural problems using a cross-cultural sample. Finally, Dr. Yilmaz's team explores the relationship between daily travel satisfaction, health, and well-being, drawing on findings from an international comparative study.
Together, these presentations highlight the diversity and global scope of ARTS research, emphasizing the importance of cross-cultural perspectives in addressing contemporary psychological and societal challenges.
