The Advanced Research Training Seminar (ARTS) is a flagship research program organized by the International Association of Applied Psychology, distinguished by its year-long format. Conceived as a capacity-building initiative held every four years in conjunction with the International Congress of Applied Psychology, ARTS has promoted excellence in research training and fostered international collaboration among early career researchers since its first edition in 1992.
The current edition brings together six outstanding international teams composed of early career psychologists and researchers from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds. In this symposium, three teams will present their research projects and key findings. The first presentation, led by Dr. Bada's team, examines the psychosocial barriers to well-being among emerging adults, with a particular focus on coping with depression and uncertainty in a rapidly changing world. The second presentation, by Dr. Iglesias's team, explores how faculty-student interactions influence university students' academic emotions and engagement in learning processes. Finally, Dr. Levin's team will present findings from a cross-cultural study investigating employee turnover, focusing on turnover motivations, leadership styles, and workplace retention.
Together, these presentations illustrate the diversity, international scope, and applied relevance of ARTS research, highlighting contemporary psychological challenges across educational, organizational, and well-being contexts.
