The proposed symposium, "Stress Mitigation at the Macro, Meso, and Micro Levels", offers a timely and multidisciplinary exploration of stress as a pervasive health challenge across societal layers. Each presentation introduces a novel lens—from evolutionary theory to immunological biomarkers—highlighting innovative approaches to understanding and addressing stress.
The symposium begins with a foundational perspective on chronic stress as a mismatch between human evolution and modern environments (#1, Orbán), setting the stage for applied solutions: from policy-level interventions in health crises (#2, Roussel & Van den Broucke) and migration (#3, Rajan, Eugene & Coen), to developmental health in early childhood (#4, Kolopaking & Dockrell), and frontline resilience in wartime healthcare (#5, Blum and Kushnir). Together, these contributions and the discussion (#6, Neter) form a cohesive narrative that bridges theory, policy, and practice, offering actionable insights for researchers, clinicians, and policymakers alike.
The titles of the proposed abstracts are:
