Wednesday 22 July 17:15 - 18:45
Hall: 03 - Volta

Chair and Presenter: Gardner Aimee

Discussant: Drcar Stephanie

Division: Division 1: Work and Organizational Psychology

Selection into healthcare professions globally is shaped by a complex interplay of educational systems, socioeconomic factors, cultural values, and policy frameworks. While healthcare systems across the world share one common goal of delivering high-quality patient care, variations in competency models, transferability of psychometric tools, and regulatory constraints can impact the extent to which established principles and approaches from selection science can be integrated. This symposium provides an overview of how applied psychologists and key stakeholders across the globe have attempted to enhance healthcare selection globally and their experiences engaging within the intersection of scientific rigor, cultural diversity, and healthcare-specific demands.
