Session: Teaching operations management in an era of turbulence, transformation, and crisis
17/06/2025 09:00 - 10:30
Hall: B2 2.12

Chair: N. Edh

How can we teach operations management in a world shaped by crisis, transformation, and rising mental health challenges among students? This session explores academia's role in a changing society, and how we as educators can respond to growing diversity in student backgrounds — academically, culturally, and cognitively. With youth mental health described as an urgent issue across Europe, including by the European Commission, we need more inclusive and preventive approaches to teaching. Together, we'll discuss how pedagogical strategies can support not just learning and engagement but also belonging and well-being. Participants are invited to share concerns, insights, and practices — and reflect on how we can create learning environments where more students have a real chance to thrive.
