The session is organized in cooperation with Associazione Gianluca Spina ETS (AGLS). AGLS is the association that was founded by a group of friends and colleagues of Gianluca Spina's (former Dean of PoliMI Graduate School of Management and EurOMA member and Fellow). The purpose of the Association is to promote and support training and scientific research initiatives in the field of Management, with specific emphasis on the topics dearest to Gianluca, first of all that of Supply Chain Management. The Association also promotes cultural, innovative projects related to the areas of sustainability and social impact.
The goal of this special session is to animate a discussion around the topic of Innovation in Teaching, with specific attention to the evolution of the context in which teaching is taking place, both in terms of topics (e.g., sustainability, impact, digitalization) and in terms of means (e.g., generative artificial intelligence).
The session also aims to reiterate the importance of teaching in the mix of activities that constitute the role of an Operations and Supply Chain Management scholar and the relevance of experimenting new ways for engaging students and deliver knowledge.
