The panel aims to gather interdisciplinary contributions to re-think the foundations of a theology of peace from an interreligious and intercultural perspective in an age of growing local and international conflicts. Areas of interest: the history of nonviolence and its main interpreters from various religious traditions and contexts; the theory and practice of peace studies that accompany nonviolence and social justice; the analysis of the theme of peace in the founding texts of various religious traditions, starting with Christianity; the theme of peace in international cooperation and interreligious dialogue; peace education and in-depth study of some documents of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church dealing with the theme of peace.
