This paper addresses the new 2025 Peace Memorandum of the Protestant Church in Germany, highlighting the memorandum's historical context and key arguments. It will also address the areas of continuity and discontinuity with previous theological and ethical approaches to these issues within the Protestant Church in Germany. Finally, it will consider the contemporary debates surrounding the new positions and outstanding issues and open questions.
