Abstract text:
It is clearly seen that there is no measurement tool that evaluates the level of victim sensitivity in romantic relationships in the related literature. In the current study, the main purpose was to develop a valid and reliable measurement tool to understand how the concept of justice sensitivity in romantic relationships is perceived by married adults and to examine whether victim sensitivity differs by gender in Turkish culture. The study focuses on the effects of victim sensitivity, which constitutes one of the dimensions of justice sensitivity, on romantic relationships. The study focuses on the effects of victim sensitivity, which constitutes one of the dimensions of justice sensitivity, on romantic relationships. Within the scope of the research, victim sensitivity, one of the dimensions of justice sensitivity, was examined. The sample of the study for exploratory factor analysis included 325 adults, and confirmatory factor analysis consisted of 410 adults. The Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) findings revealed a 17-item structure with a single factor. The model fit indexes obtained from the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) pointed out verifying a one-factor solution. It was also found that item-total correlations varied between 0.43 and 0.69. In fact, Cronbach's alpha internal consistency coefficient and composite reliability (CR) analysis were performed for the reliability of the scale. Accordingly, the Cronbach alpha was found to be .90, and the CR value was found to be .90. On the other hand, research findings revealed that women had significantly higher levels of victim sensitivity compared to men in their romantic relationships. In conclusion, it is determined that VSRRS can measure victim sensitivity in the context of romantic relationships in Turkish culture in both a valid and reliable way.
