At 18, cadets willingly undergo rigorous military training marked by drills, discipline, and strict rewards or punishments, ensuring obedience and conformity. Training conditions their minds through controlled stress exposure, enhancing resilience, leadership, adaptability, and tactical competence. It builds endurance, environmental flexibility, and strategic skills, preparing them with dedication to safeguard India's borders against terrorism and external threats efficiently. It aims to study the impact of military training on cadets in two phases of military training, namely pre-training versus post-training. A cross-sectional study involving 120 Cadets in two phases of pre- and post-military training by using Likert scales on resilience, stress management, coping resources, and emotional intelligence. The obtained data were analyzed using the paired samples t-test. The findings indicate significant improvements in resilience, stress management, coping resources, and emotional intelligence scores following six to thirty-six months of military training. The confounded variables of intelligence and competency on technology exhibited significant changes and substantially increased resilience, stress intervention, coping resources, and emotional intelligence. Findings prove that military training is multifaceted, which not only focuses on physical capabilities but also bolsters psychological responses, resulting in confident, prepared, disciplined, and skilled cadets, leading to overall improvement of an individual ready to lead and serve their nation.
