Abstract text:
Introduction
Our society has great needs for support, guidance, and intervention in the area of psychological and neuropsychological development, which requires professionals with comprehensive and specialized training. This idea is justified observing the need for care for people with developmental problems, as well as those who are at risk or disadvantaged in achieving comprehensive growth, which encompasses the following areas: cognitive, affective, social, and behavioral. The deficiency in assessment, intervention, and prevention actions in human development processes at all age ranges is notable in Mexico and many Latin American countries.



Objective
To implement a new area of psychology, which has the intention, responsibility, and commitment to attend the needs arising from human development, satisfying them from a comprehensive perspective involving psychology and neuropsychology. This area is Psychoneurodevelopment.


Concept
Psychoneurodevelopment refers to an psychology area that addresses human development in all its stages, in a comprehensive manner from psychological and neuropsychological perspectives, to assess, diagnose, prevent, intervene, and research dysfunctions and pathologies, as well as normal development in the cognitive, affective, behavioral, and interactional areas.


Methodology
The work consisted of creating a training program for Psychoneurodevelopment professionals. These professionals must be competent, with a critical, ethical, and humanistic perspective, capable of generating, applying, and disseminating knowledge with scientific rigor. Likewise, they will be committed to leadership and social engagement, focused on addressing and proposing innovative solutions to problems of human development at all life stages.


Results and Conclusions


This program should provide graduates with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and competencies necessary for clinical and psychoeducational practice at all stages of human development. Likewise, graduates should have the ability to generate knowledge that will impact the wide range of problems that arise in psychological and neuropsychological development.
