The psychologist community consistently experience that governments turn to political scientists, lawyers, technologists, medical doctors and behavioural economists in search for solutions, but often (COVID-19 in some countries being a notable exception) fail to include psychologists in the selection of experts.
Therefore, my presentation will give some input to understand this phenomenon.
The 3 main topic of this presentation will contribute to:
· The identification of how the profession is understood and valued
· The identification of obstacles to higher recognition and their solutions
· The identification of where psychologists are wanted, expected and employed or contracted for services
Final aim will be to define some paths for the improvement of the profession in the social and political domain.
