Abstract text:
Successful stories of psychologists and architects shared planning will be discussed.This contribution will describe the work of a team of psychologists and architects, that for several years organized commune training and joint urban planning in Naples' area. This presentation will highlight the importance of describing the own professional methodology and the difficult for psychologists in being recognized as professionals. Group facilitating competencies, team building, need analyzis, social awareness of needs in the interplay of individual and the social domain, and listening competencies, are specific methodologies of the psychological background. They are used in social planning and successful shared with the whole interprofessional team. Nevertheless, it is hard their recognition as psychological competencies and their added value to the role of psychologists.
