Abstract text:
Objective 1: Develop professional communication competencies
This objective will be tackled by engaging in workshop exercises of applied
psychology research communication for different stakeholders. The activity will allow
workshop participants to explore different communication tools and styles to
communicate applied psychology research, transfer results and make impactful
policy and practical implications for different agents, national institutions and
organizations.
Expected outcome of this workshop will serve as a starting point of a template
guidebook on communication in applied psychology research that will be a
published resource on IAAP Division 15 website.
Objective 2. Increase engagement of early career members in IAAP
This aim will be achieved by networking and relationship building between division
15 members by elaborating a concrete action plan to foster the IAAP Strategic Goal
2. Increase the number and diversity of engaged members by improving the value
and accessibility of IAAP. Division 15 Board will guide the workshop to ensure
Division 15 members participation in the creation of the action plan. Some of the
topics that will be tackled are members needs identification and improvement
aspects of the onboarding process, interdivisional collaboration and mentoring
initiatives in IAAP.
Expected outcome: an action plan to improve membership engagement and
knowledge on how to become active in different ongoing IAAP projects.
