The following oral presentation aims to present an experience of working in community psychology based on the use of the arts for social transformation. I will talk about a community psychology project that uses art as a powerful tool for social change and community empowerment of a group of individuals experiencing homelessness focusing on their active participation in theatrical practice. For this propose, I present a conceptual and theorical framework regarding the phenomenon of homelessness in Colombia and how artistic practices serve as a catalyst for social change and their connections to the field of community psychology. Furthermore, I examine the methodological approach used with the participants, detailing covering the sessions' structure, the overall scope, and the participants insights regarding their engagement with the artistic and psychological dimensions of this process. Finally, I conclude by examining the scope of art-based social change specifically advocating for the complement between psychology and theater to amplify the efficacy of community changes
