Workplace spirituality is believed to have a positive impact on job satisfaction which leads to increased employee engagement, performance, commitment, and overall well-being. A spiritually oriented workplace fosters a sense of purpose, belongingness, and meaning in work, which in turn enhances an employee's experience and satisfaction with their job. Personal spirituality can also enhance job satisfaction, work engagement, and productivity and reduce burnout and stress. There has been a surge in factors which account for workplace performance, job satisfaction and well-being. The researchers have identified several elements which facilitate the growth and development of an organization. Workplace spirituality has emerged to be a crucial index for job satisfaction and overall well-being of an individual. The present investigation attempts to explore the role of workplace spirituality in predicting job satisfaction of teachers in private colleges of management and technology education in India, because private institutions of these two domains are perceived to be more pressurized due competition and therefore need coherence among employees. The sample size of the current study is one hundred and fifty (N = 150) teachers of private colleges (management and technology) located in and around Lucknow and Varanasi cities of India. During the data collection Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire was used to measure job satisfaction while workplace spirituality was measured by utilizing Human Spirituality Scale and Organizational Spiritual Values Scale was used to measure organizational spirituality. The results indicate that workplace spirituality is a significant predictor of job satisfaction. Results revealed strong positive relationship between job satisfaction and both organizational spirituality (r = .611, p < .001) and personal spirituality (.709, <.001). Regression analysis further emphasized that these two factors, i.e., personal spirituality and oganizational spirituality (r = 0.268, p < 0.001), account for 42.8% variance in job satisfaction (R2= .428, p < .001). This underscores the importance of spirituality at organizational as well as personal levels in enhancing job satisfaction.
