Abstract text:
One of the essential parts of COST Actions is the development of "working groups" (WGs) focused on a stream of research questions. The LeverAge COST Action on aging and work has five such working groups: Organizational Practices; Successful Aging at Work; Integration of Age-Diverse Workers/Knowledge Transfer; Aging and Technology; and Career Development/Retirement. In this presentation, I discuss how COST leadership got these working groups organized and "up-and-running" through annual in-person meetings and bi-monthly online meetings. Specifically, I will provide examples and lessons based on my experience as WG leader of the Successful Aging at Work working group, including how we organized the group and used it to promote research collaborations among network members.
