This invited symposium is an initiative of the Alliance for Organizational Psychology (AOP), a federation of leading societies in Work, Organizational, and Industrial Psychology that aims to expand the contribution of our field to society by improving both the quality of work life and the effectiveness of individuals and organizations. AOP promotes collaboration and effective communication among its member associations while advancing science-based practice and supporting the development of policies that protect worker well-being and foster organizational productivity worldwide. Its goals include connecting academics and practitioners across regions, maintaining continuous dialogue with international policy makers such as the ILO and the United Nations, and fostering global research and practice collaborations to address critical workplace challenges. To strengthen dissemination and exchange, AOP has also established initiatives such as an online video repository capturing the perspectives of global leaders on pressing organizational and societal issues. Member organizations include IAAP Division 1 (Work and Organizational Psychology), EAWOP (European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology), SIOP (Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, USA), CSIOP (Canadian Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology), the APS College of Organisational Psychologists (Australia), and SBPOT (Brazilian Society of Work and Organizational Psychology). Through this international alliance, AOP serves as a platform to amplify diverse perspectives, strengthen collective action, and mobilize scientific knowledge to advance decent work, resilience, and sustainable organizational practices in a rapidly changing world.
