Abstract text:
The aging of the population and increaseing cultural diversity in contemporary societies
are reshaping the dynamics of the workforce. The extension of working life and the
growing presence of older workers in the labor market can have significant effects on
their well-being, both in the workplace and in their personal lives. These changes not only
impact employee satisfaction but also influence key organizational decisions, such as the
retirement age. Furthermore, they can give rise to additional issues such as age
discrimination, reduced promotional opportunities, or social isolation at work,
exacerbating intergenerational tensions and affecting organizational cohesion.

This study is based on the adaptation of a previously developed scale designed to measure
intercultural sensitivity, modifying it to focus on age as a critical cultural dimension. The
aim is to assess intergenerational sensitivity within organizational settings and explore
the interactions and perceptions between different generations of workers. The scale has
been initially applied to a group of Spanish and Bulgarian workers, with plans for its
transcultural validation in other contexts, such as Romania and the Czech Republic.

The data collected will undergo statistical analysis to evaluate the reliability and validity
of the tool. It is expected that the results will provide valuable insights to enhance
relationships between employees of different ages, fostering greater understanding of the
implicit behaviors and beliefs that influence workplace dynamics. This approach aims to
raise organizational awareness of the importance of addressing generational differences,
contributing to a more inclusive and healthier work environment.
