The contribution presents an excursus of empirical evidence of the environment learning and navigation (in real and virtual environment) in relation to individual differences (in term of age and gender) and individual abilities (as mental rotation, working memory) and preferences (in term of wayfinding attitude as pleasure in exploring, self-efficacy).
