Session: 3434 - PSYCHOLOGY AND HUMAN RIGHTS: SILENCE, COMPLICITY, AND ACCOUNTABILITY
AUTHORS:
Cooper Saths (University pf Pretoria ~ Johannesburg ~ South Africa)
Abstract text:
Recalling his own human rights abuses, including interaction with psychologists during apartheid, the presenter will critique current compromises and silences in psychology.
In a world increasingly engulfed by war, division, injustice, othering and sectarian narratives that imprison human potential and serve the few, ways to free the human spirit will be explored.
