Abstract text:
At the recent International Summit on Psychology and Global Health, held in Kingston Jamaica in March 2025, the GPA jointly created a roadmap to guide actions in the coming years. The GPA will redouble its efforts to form an inclusive and action-oriented community of global psychology with a particular focus on Sustainable Development Goals 3 (good health and wellbeing), 10 (reduced inequalities), and 13 (climate action). Working groups will increase understanding and action related to the psychological components of climate change, strive to contribute to inclusive societies where everyone matters, develop guidelines to help psychologists' use of AI, and advance global mental health in a variety of domains. All this will be done in conjunction with developing the next generation of leaders and seeking practical policy applications at the United Nations. The Roadmap will be reviewed at the 2026 Summit to be held in Tiranë, Albania.
