Abstract text:
Digital hyperconnection exposes adolescents to anxiety, comparison, and fragile identity. The virtual world often imposes models that distract from authentic growth, creating dependency on external validation. Addressing this challenge entails embracing a pedagogy that cultivates everyday miricism—the ability to perceive beauty, meaning, and vitality in ordinary actions and relationships. By training attention toward reality and valuing small daily achievements, adolescents can strengthen their sense of self and resist the illusions of virtual recognition. This presentation shows how miricism counters dispersion and superficiality, helping youth to root identity in lived experience rather than digital projection. Pedagogical practices that emphasize presence, concreteness, and the joy of simple action allow adolescents to rediscover equilibrium and resilience in a time marked by digital overstimulation.
