In this presentation the main activities put into place to reach the ICOPE aim of advancing psychology education (including psychological literacy) around the world will be outlined. In particular, we will review recent and planned Conferences and Symposia, including the ICOPE Satellite Meeting at ICAP 2026, Firenze (Italy), July 20th, 2026, "Psychology Curricular Innovation for Wellbeing and Sustainability"; the Book series, whose last volume is "Teaching psychology globally"; activities directly related to teaching, such as the ICOPE Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in Psychology Community of Practice (SoTL-P CoP), whose aim is to share and discuss best practices and emerging issues, and the planned Webinars on teaching of psychology aimed at reaching a wider audience and favouring multiple perspectives in teaching of psychology. The second part of the presentation will address some of the legislative and academic changes in the Italian university training programs of the health professions and their implication for psychology education. We will then briefly compare three Countries where undergraduate psychology students are encouraged (and possibly constrained) to choose psychology at the graduate level (Italy) or are, instead, encouraged to choose training and careers other than psychology at the graduate level (Australia and USA). Peculiarities and implications of the three systems will be discussed.
