Abstract text:
Introduction
Psychological safety, defined as the shared belief that team members can express themselves without fear of negative consequences, is a crucial construct for organizational effectiveness, learning, and innovation. Despite the growing relevance of psychological safety in the workplace context, standardized measurement instruments are lacking. Existing international tools often present cultural and linguistic limitations that hinder their applicability across different organizational settings.

Purpose
This study aims to validate the Giunti Psychometrics Psychological Safety Scale, providing preliminary psychometric evidence and laying the foundation for establishing normative data across sectors.

Method
A pilot study was conducted with 100 participants from different organizations to refine the instrument and assess feasibility. Subsequently, a validation study was carried out with a larger sample of 300 employees, recruited across diverse industries and organizational roles. Analyses focused on reliability, factorial structure, and construct validity.

Results
The results were well accepted by participants and feasible to administer in organizational contexts. Reliability indices proved adequate. Preliminary factorial analyses identified a single latent construct, providing support for a unidimensional model of psychological safety and disconfirming some of the staged models proposed in previous literature.

Conclusions
These preliminary findings support the feasibility, reliability, and construct validity of the Giunti Psychometrics Psychological Safety Scale. Further analyses will establish normative data and provide more robust psychometric evidence, paving the way for its application in research, organizational development, and HR practices.
