This qualitative study explores secondary school teachers' perceptions of substance abuse among learners in the Capricorn District, Limpopo Province, South Africa. The study aimed to gain insight into teachers' experiences and perceptions of substance abuse, its causes, impact, and support strategies. Using a qualitative research design, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 23 teachers selected through purposive sampling. The findings reveal insights into the complexities of substance abuse in schools, highlighting the need for effective interventions and support strategies. The study's results can inform policy and practice aimed at addressing substance abuse among secondary school learners.
