Abstract text:
The convergence of mental and physical health science has sparked new possibilities for advancing global well-being. While many of the existing mind-body interventions are empirically supported, they lack cultural adaptability and community relevance. This presentation explores how culturally informed mind-body approaches can foster resilience and connection across diverse populations. Drawing from recent literature, the poster will highlight emerging evidence surrounding mind-body practices and their ability to regulate emotions and improve physiological health markers through neuroendocrine and inflammatory pathways. Culturally tailored adaptations, such as community co-facilitation and integration of spiritual traditions, enhance engagement and trust within underrepresented groups. By aligning mind-body interventions with participants' cultural frameworks, clinicians can address both individual healing and collective empowerment. The poster aims to encourage insight into potential interventions that bridge science and culture within communities.
