The goal of the ASP-Belong project is to develop a digital mental health intervention format, Augmented Social Play (ASP). ASP is a serious game for smartphones based on augmented reality. It is meant to be Used for group psychotherapeutic interventions in educational settings, with the aim of creating supportive communities for adolescents. Additionally, the ASP app can be used as a digital high quality solution for prevention and promotion in the field of Mental Health.
The current presentation will detail the rationale that supports the evolution from the previous version of LINA into the current version, as well as the model of change employed. It will also reflect upon the rationale employed to assemble the current consortium. Furthermore, an additional focus of the presentation is the prevention of undesirable cognitive or emotional effect, because immersive Mental Health experiences can be associated with stress and stigma for vulnerable youth if not adequately managed. Therefore, the presentation will reflect upon the creative process employed to create the new intervention and focus upon identifying risks, and developing strategies to mitigate risks.
Finally, the presentation will feature the first results of the implementation of LINA in Portugal which will be collected from October to February and reflect upon the lessions that these preliminary results will bring to the development of the project.
