Abstract text:
Although a lot has been studied about how people make decisions, not much is known about how students decide who to vote for, and whether they stick with those choices over time. This study looks at how students in regular colleges make voting decisions. It will explore whether their political preferences stay the same or change. This research also aims to explore the role of various factors, such as social media, peer influence, family background, and exposure to political campaigns in shaping student voting behaviour. To do this, researchers will use a survey with questions that have already been tested for accuracy. The survey will be shared with students studying in universities, colleges, and other higher education institutions across India. These students will be chosen carefully to make sure the group is diverse. The answers will be studied using well-known statistical methods. Basic numbers like percentages and averages will help show general patterns in how students make voting decisions and how loyal they are to their choices. By examining these influences, the study hopes to uncover deeper insights into what drives students to remain loyal to a particular party or switch their preferences. The findings could reveal whether students vote based on long-term beliefs or short-term issues. In addition to that, the study will look at differences across regions, academic disciplines, and types of institutions to see if these variables affect political consistency. As more young people in India become politically active, this research can help teachers, government leaders, and political experts understand what influences student voters and how loyal they are to political parties or ideas.
