Inspired by the glorious lives of the military personnel and their families, we often overlook their underlying needs and struggles. Military personnel and their families often face unique psychological challenges due to constant relocations , separation from family , and exposure to difficult combat stress. Despite these well recognised challenges, systematic research on the military communities remains scarce. This study employs a bibliometric approach to systematically analyse the scholarly literature related to the military personnel, the experiences of their families, and the associated psychosocial struggles they face. Biblioshiny, an interactive web interface for the Bibliometrix R-package, was utilized due to its user-friendly platform and comprehensive analytical capabilities. It facilitates the systematic exploration of scientific literature by providing a wide range of bibliometric tools such as co-citation analysis, keyword co-occurrence, authorship patterns, and thematic mapping. By analysing publications from key academic databases from 2016-2024, the research identifies prevailing themes, influential authors, geographic research trends, and citation patterns within this interdisciplinary field. The analysis reveals a growing scholarly focus on mental health, family dynamics, and reintegration challenges post-deployment. This study provides a comprehensive overview of knowledge development, identifies research gaps, and suggests directions for future studies to support military families more effectively. The study underscores the need for mental health interventions tailored for military personnel and their families. Strengthening counseling services within the military culture will help in improving their overall mental health and well-being.
