Road traffic accidents are one of the major causes of death of people in the world. This problem is increasing day by day at the global level. Low and middle income countries are most affected by road traffic accidents. Due to the dangerous and worrying situation of the problem road traffic accidents, United Nations has proclaimed a Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030. Despite educating and making people aware, this problem still remains a matter of concern and major causes of death worldwide. Near about 10 percent increments in road traffic accidents are found in India and death rates have increased by more than 20 percent in Uttar Pradesh. This is a worrying trend for country like India. This experiment has been conducted to find a more effective way of awareness and promote safety equipment. The present study hypothesized that a real life experience (visiting trauma center) may reduce speeding, distracted driving and promote safety measures in young drivers. The data were collected from 120 young participants (80 male and 40 female drivers, average age 21.4 years) from Azamgarh (Uttar Pradesh). The participants were divided into two groups: control group and experimental group. A monitoring team was also used to monitor the driving behavior of participants after the experiment. Statistical tool t-test were used to test the hypothesis. Analysis revealed that participants who were visiting trauma center show significant change in speeding, distracted driving. Analysis also revealed that participants who were visiting trauma center increasing trend for using safety measures. The findings were discussed in the light of existing literature.
