Abstract text:
The PRISMA 2.0 project aims to promote and encourage psychological, emotional, and relational well-being throughout the academic community (students, professors and non-teaching staff), including through measures to prevent and combat risky behaviors (e.g., addictions). The project aims to promote a culture of prevention and support, strengthening psychosocial skills and enhancing the resources available in different contexts of life. To this end, the objectives are: 1) a qualitative and quantitative survey of students' well-being and lifestyles. In the first year, 778 students aged between 19 and 69 (M=27.9; SD=9.9), of whom 71.7% were women and 28.3% were men, mainly of Italian nationality (97.2%). Some of the preliminary results showed that, in terms of psychological well-being, 47.2% of students are in a state of flourishing and show high levels of perceived academic satisfaction (M=72.23; SD=13.88); 2) psychological support from university counselling service, as well as training and supervision for the professionals involved. During the first year, out of 165 requests, 143 students were taken on. Of these, 124 are women and 41 are men, with an average age of 25. The main reasons for accessing the service were difficulties in studying, managing emotions (e.g., combating anxiety, panic, etc.), and increasing psychosocial resources, for example, by improving self-esteem or the quality of relationships; 3) Focus groups and circles among students to discuss university life and how to improve its quality, as well as to promote a sense of academic community; 4) Sports activities to promote physical and mental well-being through physical activity.
The results of the first year of activities and the project actions that have emerged for the second year of the project will be presented.
