This WS covers the role of the UEMS, the aim of the exam, the syllabus and the entry requirements. Participants will be expected to have read through the syllabus before attending and this will be sent to them. The format of the exam will then be explained including the clinical, academic and technical skills sections. The scoring system and tips on how to pass will then be discussed. The second part of the workshop provides tips on how to pass the academic station including critical analysis of study design. Handouts of the presentations will be provided to participants. The workshop will end with a question and answer session.


Learning Objectives:
On completion of this workshop attendees will have a clear understanding of the format of the FEBVS examination. They will understand the different sections of the exam including eligibility to sit the exam. They will understand the general principles of the standard and level of knowledge needed to pass the exam.
