Endovascular repair is the first choice for many vascular conditions, and a full percutaneous approach leads to less discomfort for the patient and earlier mobilization.
Knowledge and skills on how to achieve safe vascular access should be a part of every vascular surgeon's armamentarium.
Ultrasound guided puncture reduce complications. After catheterization, closure device may provide improved haemostasis and early mobilization but should always be balanced with the risk of haemorrhage and ischemia.
During the workshop will include theoretical discussion, interactive cases. All participants will have the opportunity to train and improve their technical dexterity for ultrasound guided access and different closure devices to manage successfully percutaneous approaches in TAVI, EVAR, TEVAR, FEVAR, CERAB up to 24F.
Learning Objectives:
• Learn ultrasound guided puncture technique: pitfalls, tips and tricks
• Review the indications and limitations of large hole closure devices (IFU)
