SESSION: Small hole endovascular closure devices + US guided puncture

Knowledge and skills on how to achieve safe vascular access should be a part of every vascular surgeon's armamentarium. Ultrasound guided puncture reduce complications. After catheterization, closure device may provide improved haemostasis and early mobilization but should always be balanced with the risk of haemorrhage and ischemia. The workshop will be a mixture of hands-on training and interactive case discussions. All participants will have the opportunity to train and improve their technical dexterity for ultrasound guided access and closure devices to manage successfully percutaneous approaches 6-8 F.


Learning Objectives:
Learn ultrasound guided puncture technique: pitfalls, tips and tricks
Review the indications and limitations of small hole closure devices (IFU)
Can use closure devices according to IFU .
Be able to deal and solve complications caused by small hole endovascular closure devices
