SESSION: Safe navigation in the arterial tree

Trainees are often overwhelmed by the wide array of endovascular kit and how to use these safely to cannulate vessels. This workshop aims to introduce candidates how to select wires and catheters to cannulate a predefined vessel safely by hands-on training using simulated models.

Learning Objectives:
•   Selection of wires and catheters to safely cannulate vessels of the arterial tree (iliac, SFA, renal, visceral, carotid)
•   Learn the procedural steps of safe navigation on high-fidelity simulators
•   Treatment of lesions is NOT included in this workshop

Trainees ideally should have attended the following ESVS workshops: the Endovascular Toolkit for EVAR aor at least have the knowledge about tools being used
