This session invites researchers working or interested in developing research in perishable goods management, including products such as food, pharmaceuticals, some textiles and chemicals. The session is linked to a recently launched Special Issue in the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management. The SI is interested in research addressing the complexities in perishable supply chains, emphasizing strategic procurement decisions playing a role on enhancing efficiency, resilience, and sustainability. The session will be carried out as a paper development workshop where participants will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to the guest Editors of this Special Issue and receive feedback on their research topic, methodology and expected contributions for the SI.
