This session introduces the IJOPM Africa Initiative—a strategic effort aimed at supporting and spotlighting operations and supply chain management (OSCM) research in Africa. Following a brief overview of the initiative and its objectives, two invited speakers will present ongoing or recently published OSCM research grounded in the African context. The session seeks to highlight how Africa's unique institutional, cultural, and resource settings can generate fresh theoretical insights and practical contributions to the broader OSCM field. Through open dialogue and Q&A, we aim to inspire further research, collaboration, and support for scholars working in and on Africa.
