Amid rising geopolitical tensions, polarization, and migration-related challenges, religion in Europe - and particularly in the Balkans - plays a dual role: often perceived as a source of division, yet holding significant potential as a driver of peace, social cohesion, and intercultural understanding.
This panel examines the evolving intersection of religion, diplomacy, and interreligious dialogue in the region. It brings together distinguished experts and practitioners from government, media, academia, religious leadership, and migration aid. Through real-world examples and critical reflection, the panel explores the promise and limits of religious engagement in shaping peaceful and pluralistic societies in Europe and the Balkans.
