The session transitions from the general theme of urban religious inequalities to a specific analysis of the Roman context through the volume "Superdiversa. Itinerari nella Roma plurale". Rome serves as a quintessential laboratory where established hierarchies and marginalities are made visible through worship architectures and everyday practices. The book maps the presence of communities and "adaptive spaces" that reveal different levels of legitimation and settlement for religious groups in the capital. During the book presentation, Valeria Fabretti (Bruno Kessler Foundation) and Giuseppe Tateo ("Roma Tre" University) will engage in a critical discussion with the authors Maria Chiara Giorda ("Roma Tre" University of Rome) and Silvia Omenetto ("Sapienza" University of Rome). The debate will explore how "superdiversity" challenges the definition of religious heritage and how minority places of worship negotiate visibility against symbolic marginalization. Time will be reserved for questions from the audience. The discussion is moderated by Sara Hejazi (Bruno Kessler Foundation).
