Professor of Vascular Surgery at the University of Bristol and Linder Foundation Chair of Surgery at Royal College of Surgeons of England & Honorary Consultant Vascular Surgeon in the Bristol, Bath, Weston Vascular Network. He is an academic vascular surgeon with an interest in diabetes related complications of the lower limb and peripheral artery disease. His research interest is in clinical trials and the evaluation of innovative technologies in surgery.
He has led NIHR HTA funded trials in vascular disease, Chairs the South-West Panel of NIHR RfPB and is editor of British Journal of Surgery. He co-chairs the ESVS, SVS and International Working Group of the Diabetic Foot PAD and diabetes Guidelines.
