Some critical remarks on Vattimo's thought My paper deals with the discussion with some main proposals of Gianni Vattimo's philosophy, particularly with some important lacks in his philosophical thought. First, new meaning of the kenosis event in the aspect of apophatic mystical experience. Secondly, the need of transcending subject/object dualism, pointing to 'transimmanence' category. Thirdly, close joining two perspectives: the phenomenology of experience and hermeneutic approach. Fourthly, going beyond category of selfhood hidden even in his concept of charity, by the permanent process of expropriation our identity from the so called „comfort zone" (taking into account the concept of the Other). ------ --------- Dr Joanna Sarbiewska The apophatic experience and the Other.
