Activity summary:
More than 8,000 open or endovascular surgical operations performed (3000 as first operator), with particular interest to thoracic, abdominal and thoraco-abdominal aortic disease, and vascular infections. Adjunct Professor at the Residency Program in Vascular Surgery, he coordinates seminars and courses on complex aortic endovascular techniques and planning.
Principal Investigator of several international multi-center trials on thoracic and abdominal aortic endovascular devices. Full member of the Italian Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery (SICVE) and of the European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS), he served as President of the National Board of Assistant Professors in Vascular Surgery (2018-2020), and from 2021 he is Secretary General of the National Board of Associate Professors in Vascular Surgery.
He is editor of 2 monographs, author of 102 scientific publications on peer-reviewed international journals (h-index = 22), and of 27 book chapters.
