Dr. Kirsi Isoherranen, MD, PhD, Specialist in Dermatology and Allergology, is an expert in wound care and skin cancers, currently working in the HUS Inflammation Center/Dermatology Clinic. Dr. Isoherranen is EWMA Council Member since 2016 and currently the President-Elect of EWMA. She is also the Secretary General of the UEMS Multidisciplinary Joint Committee Wound Healing and the Honorary Treasurer of EAFWH (European Association of Fellowship in Wound Healing). Dr. Isoherranen has been the editor for the EWMA Document on atypical wounds published in 2019. She has research expertise in conducted clinical trials with numerous publications. Currently, she has four PhD students and ongoing trials in the area of wound diagnostics, atypical wounds and dermatosurgery.
